Our Practices and Standards
Baby Preview is referred to by more OB/GYN's in Wisconsin than any other 4D Ultrasound studio because we hold ourselves to the highest standards possible. You can feel comfortable coming to Baby Preview, as you read more about our practices & standards:
For your knowledge, please note the following:
- Baby Preview requires that ALL of our clients are under prenatal care.
- We will not perform an ultrasound on anyone before they have had their diagnostic ultrasound performed between 18 - 20 weeks of the pregnancy. Many other ultrasound centers will take clients as early as 12 weeks for an ultrasound. We feel it is extremely important that they have had their diagnostic ultrasound to avoid finding out anything at our location that was not previously found during their routine, doctor-ordered ultrasound.
- We require our clients to bring in a note from their doctor to prove they are under prenatal care (Click here for a sample Dr. note).
- We do not do ANY diagnostic ultrasound. Any questions our clients have concerning the health, weight, size, or overall well-being of the fetus are all referred back to their OB/GYN. We encourage you to show your doctor your ultrasound pictures if you have any concerns.
- None of our ultrasound sessions are longer than 25 minutes of scanning time. Our appointments typically last from 30 to 45 minutes in the scanning suite. We operate using the GE - Volusom machine at safe levels.

All of our technicians are certified in 3D/4D ultrasound and are amongst the most experienced at getting you the best possible 3D ultrasound pictures.
Very Important Notice to The Expectant Parents
The quantity and quality of the images and video segments provided during your session will vary as they are directly dependant upon factors which neither the expectant parents nor Baby Preview have any direct or indirect control over. These factors include but are not limited to, the baby's position in the womb, level of activity or inactivity, amount of fluid surrounding the baby, 'line of sight' obstacles inside the mom (e.g. umbilical cord), baby's hands over his/her face, etc. We at Baby Preview genuinely do appreciate your understanding of these factors and how as a result each session's result will vary.
**Please note:
Women seeking an elective prenatal 4D & 3D ultrasound with Baby Preview must already be receiving treatment with a healthcare provider for prenatal care and have already undergone a medical, diagnostic ultrasound ordered by their provider to confirm their due date, screen for fetal anomalies, and to look for any other pregnancy related issues. During the elective prenatal ultrasound session, we will be conducting a limited diagnostic scan to confirm heartbeat, the number of babies in the pregnancy, the position of the baby, and the placental location. Please note, at no time is this exam to be used in place of a complete diagnostic ultrasound.
